Important New Services Announced to Help Entrepreneurs Get Back to Business

June 2020 - British Columbia

A series of complimentary services are now available as part of Small Business BC’s efforts to help entrepreneurs get Back to Business as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Thanks to a partnership with the Government of British Columbia, Small Business BC is offering the following services to help support B.C. businesses as the economy restarts:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Marketplace

To help entrepreneurs access the supplies they need to operate safely, the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Competitiveness has partnered with Small Business BC to establish an online non-medical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Marketplace.

“As businesses begin to reopen, employees and customers need to know that they are in a safe environment,” said Michelle Mungall, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Competitiveness. “This new initiative will help businesses access the necessary supplies to reopen safely, successfully and with confidence.”

The marketplace is a searchable directory that can be used by businesses to easily locate a supplier with the necessary non-medical PPE to help them operate their business safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. All suppliers interested in being listed as a vendor in the non-medical PPE Marketplace can submit a request to be part of the marketplace.

“Small Business BC’s team has been there since day one of the pandemic, guiding the small business community through these unprecedented times with information, tools and resources. Now that the time has come to reopen, we want the health and safety of business owners, employees and customers to remain the number one priority,” says Tom Conway, CEO of Small Business BC.
